Two members of my family have been struggling with some pretty severe health issues for some time, and these last couple months have been especially difficult. This has made it hard for me and the boy to think of much funny (the last one we thought of seemed good but I couldn’t get the art to come out right) and it may be a while longer yet. I knew going in I wouldn’t be updating this comic super-often, but I really hadn’t intended on such a long lapse so early on.

I’m going to try some noodling and doodling and see if anything interesting comes out, but I can’t make any promises yet. This was always intended to be a “just for fun” kinda thing, and I could probably use some fun, so I’d like to keep trying. We’ll see what happens.

Not long after deciding to open up The Big Brain as a place to post the little funnies the boy and me come up with from time to time, we begans suffering technical problems. Specifically, one of our computers became officially too old and busted for anything much more complicated than web surfing and email. This meant shared time on the one good desktop, so the workflow was a bit interupted. Not to mention work stuff kinda ate into our funny-making time, so it’s been slow.

I don’t know how frequent the updating is going to be, but it is about to pick up, because we got me a desktop of my very own and even thought up a new comic while we were out and about getting it. As is our way, it was completely unrelated to computer purchasing, and I’ll draw it up just as soon as I get my apps and tablet all installed.

I’m pretty excited. It’s a lovely robust little machine and I can’t wait to put it through it’s paces. :)
